Davis Hoops' Players' Code of Ethics

Members of this club are hard working dedicated basketball players who believe in the principles of Respect, Integrity and Pride.

Respect

We value the effort of our parents, teachers, coaches, teammates, opposing players and referees.

We show respect by listening and making eye contact when someone is speaking.

We show respect by our positive comments, even to opposing players.

We show respect to our teammates and coaches by always giving our maximum effort in practice, and in the game.

Integrity

We show integrity by always doing the right thing, even if no one is watching.

We show integrity by recognizing our mistakes and correcting them. If we have doubts about the right thing to do, we imagine what a parent, coach or teacher would do.

We have the strength to avoid street drugs, alcohol and tobacco even if encouraged and reassured by our "friends" because we recognize the health risks and that they are illegal.

Pride

We are proud to be part of this team because each member demonstrates that TEAM means Together Everyone Achieves More.

We win as a team, we lose as a team and while we are committed to winning, we are proud that every member of this team has given maximum effort towards the team's success.

We are proud to be part of this team because we are all committed to a reputation of excellence.

We are proud to be part of this team because each member recognizes that toughness and strength are states of mind and have little to do with muscle size.
