8th Grade Team Supports "Breakaway from Cancer" Bicycle Ride

The Wildcats 8th Grade Team had a very busy weekend! We are proud of each and every one of our players! They all did a great job at filling over 1000 “goodie bags” on Friday evening. The goodie bags were handed out to all the amateur bike riders that took part in the Sunday "Breakaway from Cancer" bicycle ride that started in Davis and ended in Santa Rosa. The ride raised over $50,000 for four non-profit organizations that support cancer victims, cancer survivors, and cancer research.

Jan Bridge, the AMGEN volunteer director had great praise for the team. It was nice to see the girls work, laugh and have a good time! It is nice to see our girls give back to the community that always supports them. A special thanks to the Wildcats parents who stayed and helped!
